Normalizing Mental Health Conversations for Our Teens

An initiative of JF&CS Atlanta, developed with licensed mental health professionals.

Who we are

A program of JF&CS Atlanta, BeWellATL is part of Jewish Federations of North America’s national mental health initiative.

In collaboration with Atlanta community partners, we work to destigmatize mental illness and promote the well-being of Jewish young people ages 10–26 — in both Jewish and secular communities.

We provide support, tools, and resources to address today’s growing mental health concerns, for teens and young adults as well as the parents, caregivers, and professionals who support them.

Special thanks to the following donors whose support makes BeWellATL possible:

  • Zalik Family Foundation
  • The Marcus Foundation
  • Judith Alembik and Gary Alembik
  • Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta
  • Horwitz-Zusman Family

Our Story –
Clinical Expertise
Community Reach

At JF&CS, mental health support happens in two interconnected ways. One is through individual and group therapy, where people receive expert care in a clinical setting. The other is through BeWellATL, which takes that same professional expertise into schools, organizations, places of worship, workplaces and community spaces. BeWellATL brings mental wellness programs that provide clear information and practical tools that build comfort and confidence to support ourselves and one another.

Together, these efforts create a continuum of care that distinguishes JF&CS from other mental health providers. As part of JF&CS Atlanta and Jewish Federation of North America's national BeWell initiative, BeWellATL brings clinical knowledge and Jewish values into everyday community life, making it easier for people to seek support long before they reach a point of crisis.
