About Us

BeWellATL aims to destigmatize mental illness by raising awareness and educating teens and young adults about the mental health challenges of today’s world and by creating a comprehensive guide of community resources to guide and support mental wellness. Housed at Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta (JF&CS), BeWellATL is a part of Jewish Federations of North America’s (JFNA) national mental health initiative, BeWell.

In collaboration with our Atlanta community partners, BeWellATL is dedicated to promoting the well-being of Jewish young people, ages 10-26. We provide support and tools to respond to the growing mental health concerns as well as resources for parents, caregivers, and Jewish professionals.

jsacks@jfcsatl.org

Jessica Sacks joined the Horwitz-Zusman Child & Family Center at JF&CS in 2022 as the Community Outreach Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a master’s in elementary Education. Jessica spent 14 years teaching elementary school in Fulton County and in Jewish day schools, where she also served as Director of Admissions.

Her background in education, combined with her volunteer work in the Jewish community, makes her well-suited for her role. As Community Outreach Coordinator, she bridges these two worlds, leading programs for children, parents, and professionals under the BeWellATL mental health initiative.
